Pop art is a style created by vivid colours against a striking background emphasising the main piece. It also containing different scenes making it abstract and abnormal igniting the page with confusion but also meaning it can mean whatever you want it to mean which made it more popular. Pop art is usually displayed in collages, with various different components and objects creating a displaying of emotions, or an abstract scene, therefore, meaning there are no limits as to what you can do. Another modem of pop art is in comic books, to draw in the readers attention and highlight the story with colours and drama.

Pop Art was acknowledged in the mid 1950's in Britain and soon became popular with many artist's after Andy Warhol's Campbell's soup art work. Andy's Campbell's soup was simply the Campbell's soup can printed over and over again but with the colours changing in contrast adding civility to the work and creating a memorable piece. Warhol's other famous piece is of Marilyn Monroe printed with various colours to outline her facial features.


People loved Pop Art because it brightened their homes and added culture to their lives. Many people also loved pop art because it gave a significant emotion present in the room or a certain scene found humorous and reflective.

Many artists related to Pop Art because it let you explore different depths of art and abstract that you could not before. This meant there were no boundaries that you had to comply to, so you were more free to do as you wish because, you didn't have to use the appropriate colour for the certain item, or the amount of detail needn't be exact because you didn't have to be perfectly inline with the original picture. Most artists combined two scenes together to create a more abnormal effect.

There are many more artist's but these had the most success from Pop Art and have all had amazing careers. I believe this is because, they grab the viewers attention the most with there individuality and abnormality, and give the attention to detail to the minute degree.
